Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using Electrician Scout (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for that company. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the service
Electrician Scout is a monthly, non-exclusive subscription that surfaces commercial electrical opportunities compiled from public records, including building permits, commercial property transfers, and posted public bids. We collect that public information, organize it, filter it for commercial electrical work, and present it to you early so you can decide who to contact and how.
3. Subscriptions and billing
The Service is offered as a flat monthly subscription for the plan you choose. We bill monthly. There is no per-lead charge, no setup fee, and no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime, and your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Unless stated otherwise in writing, fees already paid are not refundable for partial months.
4. Non-exclusive service
Access is non-exclusive. We do not sell territory and we do not grant any subscriber a monopoly over a county or region. The same opportunity may be shown to other subscribers at the same time. The advantage we offer is being early and organized, not buying exclusivity.
5. No guarantee of results
We surface opportunities compiled from public records. We do not guarantee that you will win any work, that any opportunity will convert, or that any record is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your purposes. Public records can contain errors, omissions, and delays that are outside our control. You are responsible for independently verifying any opportunity before you act on it, including confirming scope, ownership, status, and contact details directly with the relevant parties.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for your own legitimate business purposes. You will not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the data we provide, scrape or bulk-export the Service beyond the export features we offer, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with the Service, or use it to harass any person or to violate any applicable law, including laws governing solicitation and outreach. You are responsible for how you contact the parties you find through the Service.
7. Data and public records
The opportunity data in the Service is compiled from publicly available government and municipal records. We do not control the underlying sources and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy. Where we provide a link or reference to a public source, that source is the authoritative record, not our summary of it.
8. Intellectual property
Electrician Scout, including the site, the software, the way we organize and present opportunities, our branding, and our original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service while your subscription is active. The underlying public records themselves are public information and are not owned by us.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations or produce any particular business outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Electrician Scout and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Electrician Scout and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including how you contact or do business with parties you find through the Service.
12. Termination
You can cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, misuse the Service, or use it in a way that creates risk or liability for us or others. On termination, your right to access the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the Service evolves and as we finalize them with counsel. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law rules. We chose a neutral, widely used jurisdiction; the final governing law and venue will be confirmed with counsel before launch.
